Inspired by modern dance and sculpture, I build semi-symmetrical vessels in dimensions that mirror the strength and anatomy of my body. The vessel scuIptures are then bisque fired and glazed before a second or third firing in high temperatures around 1250 C. I develop my own glaze recipes from raw minerals, some of them locally sourced/ foraged. The process feels like collaborative painting with stone, metal and fire.
